2025 - Events Calendar

Dear Surfing Community,

2024 was a productive & busy year for the Surfing Federation of India (SFI), this would not have been possible without the support of the surfing & stand-up paddle community of athletes, schools, clubs & State Associations.

SFI helped organised 4 National Surfing events as part of the National Series in Kerala, Karnataka & Tamilnadu. We also ran one National SUP event in Tamilnadu.

The level of surfing has grown in the country over the past few years! We can be proud that India is now ranked 5th in Asia. The Indian Surf team put on an amazing performance at the ASC in the Maldives and secured 2 slots for the Asian games in 2026. This is a remarkable achievement for Surfing in India and the community should be proud of this. Team India also won the silver in the team event at the ASC.

The under 21 team India had the opportunity to go to the reunion islands for the Indian Ocean challenge. The team was very well received and looked after. The team managed a silver and a bronze medal at the event.

SFI signed an MOU with the Surfing Federation of France to support each other for the development of surfing between Reunion Islands and India.

I would like to thank all the athletes, schools, clubs & State Associations for their support over the year. Also would like a special thanks to the Tamilnadu Government ,Kerala Government, Karnataka Government for their support and sponsorship in 2024.
